Small Groups are off for the month of January. Our next session begins in February.
Throughout the history of the church, small groups have played a vital role. From the time of Christ until today, small groups have changed countless lives and helped the church to grow and reach thousands while at the same time providing the closeness of a well knit community.
In Acts 20:20 Paul said, “I never shrank from telling you the truth, either publicly or in your homes.” (TLB) He was expressing the two areas of relationship that all Christians need in order to be healthy. Everyone needs public meetings, such as we have on the weekends, and a place where “everybody knows your name”.
A small group is a place where 3-12 people meet together to share their lives, common struggles and victories around a Bible topic, task or special interest. They meet in homes, restaurants, coffee shops, businesses or anywhere that is convenient for the attendees. Small groups can meet morning, noon or night, any day of the week.
Small groups are a great place to meet people and interact with others. The principle is thoroughly Biblical and very helpful to your Christian growth. Look over the groups offered in the upcoming session which starts February 8th. If you don’t find something that appeals to you, start your own group.
